Good Morning Artists and explorers!
While I love my lane and the art I make, I also recognize that it is fairly limited in scope and technique. I don't want to limit myself to only making art that I am comfortable with. I want to continuously grow and evolve both as an artist and as a person.
So when I'm not making my mandalas and psychedelic arts, I am often exploring the thousands of tips, techniques and tutorials that have been carefully crafted by other artists to help each other grow.
One of those artists is Lisa Bardot, arguably one of the most iconic illustrators teaching Procreate. She has this child-like whimsy to her designs and style that is enhanced by the vibrant and playful palettes she uses in her works. She is also a prolific teacher with thousands of hours of available tutorials to help even the most unskilled beginners learn how to utilize Procreate to make art. Her larger tutorials can be found on her website as well as on well-known sites like youtube and skillshare. Bardot has also created hundreds of Procreate brushes and written a book about digital art.
Her greatest feat, though, is Making Art Everyday a monthly themed practice that she's been running every month for seven years!!! For March her theme is Doodles, which sings to me because I love doodling. She's also offering a free brush to use this month that is designed for doodling.
So of course I'm gonna doodle this month. I started yesterday, March 6. So I had to catch up a bit. Her challenge includes a downloadable Procreate journal (which I didn't even realize was possible). The drawing journal is incredible; it includes instructions, prompts, the ability to highlight favorite prompts ,a doodle ideas page, and a progress tracker to paste in images of each day’s art.
I caught up today do I'm going to share my first 7 days now, then at the end of March I'll come back and show you the rest.
Day 1
One thing Bardot emphasises in her journal and reiterates in the sketch with me video explaining the challenge (how I found it ), is Quantity over Quality. So my doodles are sloppy and rough.
Here are days 2 through 7

Let me know which day is your favorite!
Do y'all think I can make it the whole month? I'm notoriously bad at following through with things like this for more than a few days. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
See you tomorrow lovelys, remember, Be Art everyday even if you can't make it.
